After a holiday or holiday weekend, it is always nice to refocus on your nutrition. While I believe that our bodies are amazing and have the ability to cleanse and detox all on their own, I always feel better when I choose extra fruits and veggies to debloat and refresh following a day or two full of splurges. Mentally, it helps to prevent old habits from creeping back in. Smoothies are a perfect way to add in extra fruits and vegetables. Here are three new recipes to help you rejuvenate and recommit to your health.
Each recipe makes 2-4 servings depending on if it is a meal or a snack.
2 scoops Tera’s whey + 2 TBSP nut butter + 2 TBSP chia seeds + 1 banana + 2 cups almond milk + 1 tsp vanilla + ice
3 cups kale + 1 pear, diced + 1 cucumber + 2 ” ginger + 1 TBSP coconut oil + 2 TBSP hemp seeds +
1 cup coconut milk + 1/4 tsp coconut extract + ice
3 clementines + 1 pomegranate, deseeded + 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt + 1 TBSP raw honey + 1/4 tsp cinnamon + ice
1 cup frozen beets + 1 cup frozen berries + 1 banana + 1 c almond milk + 2 cups spinach
